Transcendent and at times synesthetic, Communicant delivers a mix of indie rock, neo-psych, and baroque pop, creating immersive audible worlds for headphone listeners everywhere to sink into. Led by singer, songwriter, and producer Dylan Gardner, the music reflects a lifetime of record collecting and the influence of songwriting legends like The Beatles, Brian Wilson, and Scott Walker. 

Formed in Los Angeles, CA, Communicant released their debut album Sun Goes Out in 2021 to critical acclaim, with Paul Major calling it “psychedelic pop music for the ages.” Their 2024 follow-up, Harbor Song, expanded their sonic palette toward cinematic melancholy, earning Bedroom Disco’s praise of Gardner as “a new figurehead of neo-psych-pop.”

Now, Gardner propels Communicant into the dazzling, wall of sound territory of their next chapter. A one man Wrecking Crew in the making, these five new songs still in their raw, unmixed form point to an exhilarating and exciting direction for the band’s next album.
